Our Story

The George Inn is a historic, Grade 2 listed building dating back to the 14th Century. With timber beams, a roaring log fire, and a large walled beer garden to enjoy on those sunny Sussex days; it is a cosy, comfortable home from home in the heart of Alfriston. We are a family run business, and have called the valley our home for over 20 years.

How to Find Us

Alfriston is located 5 minutes off of the A27, from the Drusilla's roundabout. There are two car parks in the village, visible on the map below, The Willows & The Dene.

Although we do not have a car park of our own, there is plenty of free parking just a few minutes walk away, on roads such as Kings Ride, Deans Road and the Furlongs.
