Menus
We pride ourselves on a high standard of food and service here at
The George Inn, and are repeatedly given wonderful compliments from guests with regards to our food.
When we first bought The George, Roland, who originally trained as a chef,
and whose passion is good food, took over the Kitchen and set the menu and standards,
as we wanted them. Happily, we now boast a team of three, highly regarded chefs who are
equally as passionate about their food!!
This is a selection from our menus:
Dinner:
- Monkfish wrapped in Parma ham on a mixed bean cassoulet
- Confit of pork belly with red cabbage and bramley apple
- Seared sirloin of beef with fresh Parmesan, shallots and rocket served with straw potatoes
- Pan-fried tofu with cabbage, bean sprouts and crispy noodles
Lunch:
- A rustic board for two people of breads, houmous, tzatziki, anchovies, warm oil and balsamic vinegar, roasted garlic bulb, feta cheese and mixed olives
- Steak, mushroom and Guinness suet pudding
- Flat mushrooms sautéed in garlic, topped with smoked bacon and goats cheese
- Mussels in garlic and cream with chips and mayo
We offer a tasty selection of desserts too!
Special Occassions
We offer special menus for Christmas, New Year, Valentines Day, The Dickensian Night, Bank Holiday Barbecue and will cater for your own special occasion such as weddings, birthdays, retirements and more - please contact us to discuss.
